1) Manage commercial delivery of CSA packages including valuations, variations and final accounts
2) Prepare subcontract documents, assess payment applications and agree measured quantities on site
3) Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and risk registers for the CSA scope

About the role

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Senior CSA Estimator to join our expanding team. This position will be based in the client's head office in Dublin and reporting to the Estimating Director, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data centre projects and contribute to our continued success.

What the role involves

  • Lead the CSA estimating function across a wide range of complex and large-scale tenders, ensuring high accuracy, in preparing estimates based on drawings and specifications.
  • Manage quantities and prepare pricing document
  • Lead the development of obtaining detailed pricing for elements of the building from the Irish and European subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct thorough analysis using valuable data to benchmark and justify subcontractor selections.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the cost data base
  • Present the estimate to the Estimating Director and Board of Directors
  • Engage and build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc)
  • Keep informed of industry trends, market developments and pricing benchmarks
  • Lead in the continuous development of procedures and quality assurance standards across the department.
  • Mentor, guide and develop a high-performing team of estimators
  • Collaborate proactively with Mechanical and Electrical Estimators to ensure fully coordinated submission
  • Understand the company’s high standards of safety
  • Able to identify potential risks on a project

Skills & Qualifications

  • Estimating background with at least 8 years relevant experience working on large projects
  • Background in Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) engineering or proven previous trade experience.
  • Previous experience managing a team of estimators
  • Produce reports for management for bids & monthly meetings
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contracts
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and in at least one of the more widely used QS BQ production software packages – e.g. Buildsoft or CostX
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
