About the role
The Pre Construction Manager will report into the Pre-Construction Director, lead and coordinate all pre-construction activities from initial enquiry through to contract award and handover to project delivery teams. This includes managing bid strategy, design coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure all submissions are commercially robust and technically compliant.
Location: Dublin.
What the role involves
- Work with the Estimating Lead to manage the pre-construction/tendering process from enquiry through to final decision
- Manage and coordinate internal teams including design, planning, and operations
- Develop (with aid of Operations) and review methodologies, Logistics Plans and technical submissions
- Collate project risks and opportunities during the tender process
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners during bid phases
- Support cost planning, value engineering, and procurement strategies
- Ensure all submissions are aligned with client requirements and company standards
- Manage bid presentations and post-tender clarifications
- Oversee smooth handover to project delivery teams
- Obtain feedback from Clients and Stakeholders and implement learnings
- Provide feedback to supply chain on their tender submissions
Skills & Qualifications
- 8–12+ years’ experience in pre-construction, project management, or commercial roles
- Strong background in large-scale construction projects (data centre / industrial / pharma preferred)
- Proven experience managing tender processes and bid submissions
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment
