About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to join our project team in Skelleftea, Sweden. This role will be responsible for managing key Mechanical work packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What the role involves
- Manage and coordinate Mechanical work packages across the project lifecycle
- Oversee day-to-day mechanical site operations in conjunction with the wider project team
- Manage site QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
- Coordinate project schedules with Planners, Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and design teams
- Manage mechanical subcontractor activities, including progress tracking, manpower levels, and weekly coordination meetings
- Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and up to date
- Attend Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, and Handover Meetings
- Liaise with the design team to ensure construction information and technical submittals are issued in line with programme requirements
- Review drawings, technical submittals, and ensure mechanical systems are coordinated correctly
- Support commercial management by tracking variations and attending weekly commercial meetings
- Issue progress reports to the project team
- Carry out, distribute, and close out mechanical snagging items
- Proactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues on site
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ experience within the mechanical construction sector
- Strong background managing Mechanical packages on large-scale construction projects
- Experience in scheduling, sequencing, and programme management
- Excellent organisational, communication, and coordination skills
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, installation methodologies, and site operations
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project delivery
- Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
