Job details:
1) Support site engineers with drawing markups, measurement and material takeoff for electrical works
2) Update installation records, inspection sheets and progress trackers for the electrical package
3) Attend site walk downs and learn testing and commissioning procedures under supervision

About the Role

Currently we have a few remaining Graduate Electrical Engineers and Graduate Electrical Commissioning Engineers for our sites inFinland and Portugal. You will gain hands-on experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems on large-scale projects. This role offers exposure to all aspects of electrical engineering within the construction industry, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and building services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordination of electrical works on site.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Support site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and electrical codes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including test reports and quality records.
  • Assist in commissioning activities and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and method statements for electrical works.

What the role involves

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and building services.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or electrical design software is an advantage.
