About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our project team in Skelleftea, Sweden. This role will be responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of design solutions across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP disciplines, ensuring designs are compliant, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements.
What the role involves
- Support the development and coordination of design solutions across all project disciplines
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Assist in ensuring design deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on design-related activities
- Participate in Design Meetings, Coordination Meetings, and Project Reviews
- Liaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is understood and implemented on site
- Assist in managing RFIs and ensuring timely responses to technical queries
- Support the review and approval process for technical submittals and design documentation
- Ensure effective coordination between CSA and MEP design elements
- Identify and assist in resolving design, technical, and coordination issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Support commercial teams by identifying design-related risks and potential variations
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or similar discipline
- Minimum 3 years experience in a design engineering role within construction or building services
- Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projects
- Good understanding of design principles, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
